Adrian is a senior lawyer in Singapore with experience in intellectual property, media, technology, and entertainment. He has spent more than 20 years handling their confluence in various aspects of the games business, both as an external lawyer and as in-house counsel. Adrian was most recently inhouse as Vice President and Asia, Africa & Middle East general counsel for EA, a Fortune 500 video game company. He has acted for (and against) numerous other video game companies.
From development to publishing to operations and regulatory compliance and more, Adrian now uses his experience to help businesses – especially IP-heavy ones that develop, create and licence content, whether games, video or audio, among others – solve problems, manage their risk, and get deals done through Consigclear LLC, the Singapore law firm he founded. The firm brand reflects a drive to be a counsellor and trusted advisor: the consigliere (yes, he watched the Godfather movies AND played the game…).
Beyond entertainment law, Adrian also provides fractional general counsel and retainer services to a range of clients, as well as acts as a consultant and mediator. He is a member of the specialist WIPO List of Neutrals for games and esports, as well as a volunteer at the Singapore Community Mediation Centre and with the Infocomm Media Development Authority.
