Cheng Yu has an extensive career spanning nearly 20 years, during which he has held positions at several renowned multinational enterprises. He has ramped up expertise notably in patent licensing and litigation areas, in which he has garnered substantial experience and developed unique insights, since joining Xiaomi in 2019. Prior to his tenure at Xiaomi, he oversaw patent portfolio management and supervised patent-related affairs for research and development sites across China, India, and Korea. He is familiar with fields of telecommunications, video codecs, and other ICT technologies. He is dually qualified as Chinese lawyer and Chinese patent attorney.
