John Cheng founded Innovate 360, Singapore’s 1st food accelerator, combining facilities and VC fund. Supporting more than 150 agri-food tech startups since 2018, it offers mentorship, infrastructure, funding, expertise, and ecosystem. Today, it has four facilities including co-working spaces, laboratories, shared kitchens, and manufacturing and retail spaces and to support startups to scale and go-to-market. John is pivotal in Singapore’s food innovation landscape. He co-founded Feed 9 Billion, an open innovation ecosystem fostering sustainability and collaboration to feed 9 billion people by 2050. He serves on the Ministry of Trade’s Pro-enterprise Panel, Science Centre Singapore Board and, advisory committee at the Institute of Technical Education for Chemicals & Life Sciences, and Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Applied Sciences. He was recognized as The Peak’s “Future Shaper” and Prestige Magazine’s 40 Under 40 and Gen.T list by Tatler Magazine. He was nominated as The Straits Times Singaporean of the Year for 2021.
