Neha Goel is a qualified Indian patent agent and currently serves as the Head of IP, India at ABB, where she oversees the management of ABB’s intellectual property portfolio throughout its lifecycle—spanning creation, risk management, and exploitation.
An engineer by training, Neha holds an LLM in IP Law & Management from the University of Strasbourg, France, and an executive management degree from IIM Calcutta, India.
With nearly 20 years of experience in IP, Neha is a recognized expert in developing actionable IP strategies that integrate R&D roadmaps, technology whitespace, and competitive intelligence. She began her career in IP analytics and consulting with Evalueserve, leading key client engagements with Fortune 500 companies across various technology sectors. Neha then led the IP team at Eaton’s India research center, where she worked closely with the group CTO and technology managers on key IP matters. At ABB, she leads IP operations in India and has spearheaded strategic initiatives such as defining the IP strategy maturity model, developing a patent monetization framework, and designing ABB’s IP training platform.
Neha’s deep expertise in IP analytics, combined with her strong understanding of IP laws and strategic business engagement, drives her passion for creating sustainable IP advantages and mitigating risks for organizations.
