Nina Belbl

Dr. Nina Belbl works in the Patent and Technology Law Division at WIPO. Her main area of work lies in the implementation of the WIPO SEP strategy. Further, Nina provides legislative and policy advice to the WIPO Member States in the area of patents, utility models, and trade secrets.

Prior to joining WIPO in December 2020, Nina worked several years as a patent litigator in one of the leading patent litigation firms in Germany. There she was involved in national and multinational litigation, particularly in the telecommunications and automotive sectors. Nina studied law in Germany and France with a specialization in IP law and international law. She holds a Ph.D. in law from the University of Freiburg (Germany) on strategic transfer of SEPs.
